Showcase of Green Homes in the Books!!

The over 2,500 who attended the event at the River District in Liberty Lake had the chance to listen to numerous available classes to answer questions on ‘What is a Built Green Home?’, ‘How Can I Green my Current Home?’, and much more.  “The quality of attendees was great.  People were asking great questions and were really interested in what ‘green’ was.  Also, we received some really positive leads from it,” Brent Peterson of Brent Peterson Construction.  But the education didn’t stop at consumers.  Tuesday’s Realtor Day Seminar taught by Dave Porter of PorterWorks helped many realtors in our area walk away with a greater knowledge of how to sell a Built Green home and what separates it from the rest.

The Showcase of Green Homes was the 1st ever Single site home show featuring only Built Green homes in the Spokane Area.  The Showcase presented by Northwest Energy Star, Windermere Real Estate, Direct Buy and Avista Utilities was a great success.  5 Certified Green Professionals built 6 affordable Built Green® and Energy Star certified homes ranging from $230,000 to $320,000.  The homes were each unique in their styles and features but one thing that united them was their certificate confirming they met the program requirements of Inland Northwest Built Green and Energy Star.  Click here to view the case studies.
